Ahhh... After reading Mei Qi's blog post, I shall list down all the anime that I'll be catching this season too! Soooo many to watch, soooo little time (luckily I'm not working XP)
1) Itazura na Kiss
I caught the first episode. The pace of the anime was pretty fast and the drawing style surprised me, cos it looked like it was animated in 2002/2003. In other words, the drawing isn't all that nice but I'll just watch it for the cheesy romance. XD
2) Vampire Knight
I dislike -and I'll repeat it again in CAPS- I DISLIKE THE OPENING THEME. What "akai-akai"??? I was goosebump-ing through out the whole song, and it's such a pity cos I think the anime is not bad. But that being said, I'm still have a love-hate relationship thingy for the show. Maybe because it was being advertised too much and we're having Mamoru Miyano here as the ever monotoned Zero-kun (one can only handle that much of his "I-don't-care-if-I-talk-constantly-in-one-note-but-I'm-way-cooler-than-any-of-you" attitude)
3) Wagaya no Oinari-sama
And off we go into another fox-girl filled anime season! I bet Spice & Wolf was the trigger to all this but seriously, what's with all the kitsune??? This anime is not bad though, and it's definitely a plus that the fox spirit is able to transform into either a girl or a guy. XP
4)Kanokon
The other fox themed anime. The other more ecchi one, with the fox girl glomping the shota-esque boy and combining t0 become one and blah blah blah... Mindless stuff but nevertheless, amusing. Just my kind of thing.
5) To-LOVE-Ru
And since we're on the topic of mindless-yet-amusing aka my kind of stuff, this is the complimentary B side of the ecchi animes. I've actually read quite a bit of the manga so I was having a few expectations of the anime (Vampire Knight is another thing, I had no expectations of it whatsoever... Maybe just a lot of angsting and pretty-boy posing). So far so good! And the title is actually pronounced as "trouble", when all this while I have been going "to love ruuuu".
6)Blassreiter
One of the two anime that CR and Gonzo collaborated with together. And definitely the better of the two. I watched Tower of Druaga and IMO, it was all tosh. You should have seen my facial expression when I was watching ToD, retarded I tell ya! This one has got really cool motorbikes and shape-shifting monsters that scare the shit out of me, just to get violently ripped apart by our ex-motorcross-racing hero (who looks pretty much like a monster himself)
7)Soul Eater
This. Is. An. Awesome. Anime. Do. Not. Miss. It. For. The. World.
Do you need more convincing? The story line, the characters, the action, the voice actors, everything is kanpeki!!!
8) Kure-nai
This anime requires some sort of an acquired taste - you either love it or hate it. But I love it, so there. The animation is fantastic (the details blew me away) but what impressed me more was the voice acting. Just hearing the voice of little Murasaki tugs at my heart strings (sorry, er jie, for your com is mute XP)
In addition to all these, I will be catching Special A and Code Geass R2 (I willnot hide the fact that I still DISLIKE Clamp for changing their art style. Pisses the sh** out of me), as well as the older series like Katekyo.
Plus, I took some personality quizzes the other day (aren't we all suckers for this kind of things?) and here are some of the more interesting results:
