Ok everyone, I know I suck for not updating BUT! But I have a valid reason.

There is no goddamn wireless connection at my dorm and unless I want to stay overnight in the laboratory, I won't get to update this blog. Only the BIOTEC labs have the free WiFi system, and so can you guess what I am doing now? Yes, I am typing this while rotting my ass off in the X-Ray Diffraction room.

I can't do a long-winded kind of thing now, but just know that I got to the research facility safe and am now coping well. The first week here was hectic - there were so many things to learn, so many experiments protocols to go through and do, and adapting to the extremely depressing 8 am to 5 pm lifestyle here. Yes, my SIP started immediately on the day I arrived in Bangkok, right after lunch. Talk about making full use of cheap labour, no wait, FREE labour.

Whatever.

Of course some stuff is kind of expected, like being stuck in the lab for almost the whole day and returning to the dorms at night only to collapse on the bed, fast asleep, but there were other unexpected stuff like... well, like someone*cough* being a total jerk and more or less making my life miserable. Even now, guess why I have the time to type this post out? Well, it's because of that someone! SURPRISE.

I generally like the department I'm working in. My supervisor's super nice even though she kinda have mood swings (like happy and laughing at one moment whilst all solemn/serious the next) and my mentor working under her is also super nice. He's kinda cute too, but that's another story.

Ok, went to the Chatuchak weekend market last Saturday, walked till I nearly fainted from the intense heat and the lack of oxygen! But here are some photos! Weeeee.



Look, they were selling bunnies in costumes! They were so cute but I felt so sorry for them. One was even dying in one corner, all adorned in her pretty clothes. Sad right?



And puppies were for sale too! Adorable.



This little one was lying, splayed out, with a little red ribbon.
